What is the Ramming System?

The Ramming system is a horizontal drilling technique that allows the installation of steel pipes through direct percussion driving, without the need to open trenches on the surface. It is ideal for crossings under roads, railways, rivers and other critical infrastructure.

This technology uses a pneumatic hammer that drives steel pipes through the ground, creating a tunnel that can serve as a permanent conduit or as protection for other pipes. The process is done pipe by pipe, welding them together to form a continuous line.

Installation Process

Site preparation

Entry and exit pits are excavated, and the ramming equipment is installed aligned with the projected trajectory.

First pipe driving

The pneumatic hammer drives the first steel pipe through the ground, creating the initial tunnel.

Welding and continuation

The next pipe is welded to the previous one and the process continues until the required length is completed.

Completion

The equipment is removed, the inside of the pipe is cleaned and final connections are made according to the project.
