Tunnel Liner
Economical, flexible and fast solution to build drainage systems in urban areas without surface impact.
What is Tunnel Liner?
The Tunnel Liner is a system designed for tunnel construction in urban areas, eliminating the impact of trenches on surface traffic interventions that traditional systems generate.
It constitutes an economical, flexible and fast solution to build rainwater drainage and wastewater systems. A vertical shaft is built using corrugated steel sheets, reaching depths of up to ten meters on average to avoid interfering with other underground services.
Construction Process
Vertical Shaft Construction
A vertical shaft is built using corrugated steel sheets to an average depth of 10 meters.
Excavation and Installation
Excavation is carried out using a first sheet as protection, using easy-to-transport sections.
Ring Completion
Ring sections are progressively completed. Once two rings are completed, sealing proceeds.
Sealing and Injection
Sealing is performed on the over-excavation edges and mortar is injected to fill the space between the pipe and the tunnel liner.
Final Lining
Once the tunnel liner is completed, it can be lined with concrete for its final use and greater durability.
Applications
Rainwater Drainage
Rainwater collection and evacuation systems
Wastewater
Sanitary sewer collectors
